James M. Anzalone
James Anzalone is the president of Compliance Assurance LLC, a firm specializing in global trade compliance solutions.
James is a Vice President of Global Supply Chain at a leading company in the biometrics industry, headquartered in South Florida. He has managed the end-to-end supply chain, including supply and demand planning, purchasing, warehousing, logistics and trade compliance for operations in the U.S. and abroad.
Mr. Anzalone has developed a comprehensive compliance program including product classification, license determination, ‘know your customer’ checks, development of corporate policies and procedures and employee training programs. These programs have allowed the company to safely and rapidly expand into profitable export markets and take advantage of high quality, low cost materials imported from overseas suppliers.
In addition to holding the position of Trade Compliance Officer for a major division of a Fortune 100 corporation, James has developed trade compliance programs at companies large and small. He has also developed dangerous goods transportation compliance programs and led ‘train-the-trainer’ sessions for numerous other transportation and logistics initiatives.
Mr. Anzalone holds Master’s Degree in International Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a B.S. Degree in Business Logistics from the Pennsylvania State University. He is also an active member of APICS and Institute for Supply Management.
Laura C. Anderson
Laura Anderson is Trade Compliance Practice Leader with over twenty eight years experience in the international arena and is a Licensed US Customs Broker.
She has developed and implemented trade compliance programs for Fortune 100 companies as it relates to both import and export compliance programs. She has led these companies to the path of compliant international transactions, thus allowing savings and refunds by understanding the US Government’s preferential trade programs and duty drawback regulations.
She has extensive knowledge as it relates to US Customs and Border
Protection, the Food and Drug Administration, Office of Foreign Assets
Control, Bureau of Industry and Security, Enviromental Protection
Agency, and others.
